My college alumni Eastern Washington University informed me that my picture "Ruby Rocks"
was awarded grand prize in their annual photo contest and will appear on the cover of the Eastern Magazine for spring/summer 2012
The National Parks Foundation sponsored their annual photo contest "Share the Experience" and completed the judging of 14,886 entries submitted between June-Dec 2011. I was informed my picture "Olympic Gold"
made the top 100 and is moving onto the friends favorite voting phase. The friends favorite voting will take place January 16th-31st 2012 to chose the top 14. If you get a chance, please give me a vote by following the link to the National Park Foundation website "Share the Experience"
The Washington Trails Association followed back and informed me that my other submission, "Lone Tree"
was awarded editors pick and will also appear in the Jan/Feb issue.
The Washington Trails Association just completed their 9th annual Northwest Exposure Photo Contest. They received more than 1750 entries and awarded prizes in five different categories that focused around your best picture from the backcountry. In November I was informed my picture from the Olympic National Parks Ruby Beach titled "After the Storm"
was awarded the Grand Prize and will appear on the Washington Trails cover for January/February 2012. Link to Washington Trails Gallery

As of September 2011, I celebrated my fourth year at Musings. I

The Schack Art Center moved into their new location in May 2011 and held their 18th Juried Art Show of mixed media. I was fortunate enough to have two pictures chosen, "Lone Tree"
& "After the Storm",
that were displayed during the months of July & August.
During the month of May 2011, if you are on an Alaska/Horizon Airlines flight, look for this picture in their monthly magazine. Out of 1200 entries, this picture of the Palouse "Spring Light"
was chosen to be in the top ten and displayed in their annual photo contest addition.
